Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on project leader/manager to support our activities in the e-Refinery institute and the national project consortium RELEASE.
As project leader/manager of the e-refinery institute (2 to 3 days a week) you will
- Monitor the execution of the institute’s strategy, and initiate activities to stimulate its progress.
- Be part of the E-refinery management team and coordinate the bi-weekly MT meetings
- Coordinate the institute's communication strategy to enhance its visibility inside and outside the university.
- Work together with the e-refinery Senior Technology Manager to develop and support new research projects that are in line with the institute’s strategy.
As project leader/manager in RELEASE (2 days a week) you will
- Monitor the execution of the RELEASE workplan, and organize activities, ranging from user meetings to workshops, to stimulate progress.
- Develop and coordinate knowledge utilization and educational activities in close collaboration with the project leader and the MT of RELEASE.
- Coordinate the RELEASE communication activities
The position is for a period of 18 to 22 month, depending on the starting date, with possibilities of extension with additional 18 months.
Depending on the experience of the candidate a choice will be made for an appointment as project leader (UFO profile project leader 1; salary scale 10) or project manager (UFO profile project manager 4; salary scale 11).
Job requirements
- The ideal candidate has technical knowledge of issues related to the energy transition in the chemical industry and has experience with project management.
- A master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. chemical engineering, materials engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry, physics) is required.
- A PhD degree in a relevant field is considered a bonus.

Conditions of employment
- Duration of contract is 1-2 years.
- A job of 36-40 hours per week.
- A salary based on scale 10 of the CAO for Dutch Universities with a salary between €3345 - €5278 gross per month based on a fulltime contract (38 hours), plus 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
