Job description
The Teaching & Learning Services (TLS) Support team offers lecturers a high-quality teaching portal, consisting of both a helpdesk and a comprehensive website (https://www.tudelft.nl/teaching-support). Through this portal, we answer a wide range of questions from instructors, for example about assessment, training opportunities, and educational applications. The Teaching Support website is our main communication channel with lecturers, making it essential that the content is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant. We work in a data-informed manner and in close collaboration with other teams, and focus on continuous knowledge development.
Our team is made up of 6 Learning Technology Support Officers (LTSO), who are responsible for the daily operations of the helpdesk and Teaching Support website. Our sub-team of Website Editors work closely with a broad range of stakeholders within TU Delft and process their requests for adding or changing information on our website. As Website Editor, you will ensure the website remains consistent, accurate, and easy to navigate. You will also maintain the quality of the content by revising and editing texts. Furthermore, you will coach student assistants in writing good content and implementing the content on our content management system.
Your tasks include:
- Gathering, writing, editing, revising, and publishing content in line with our established quality standards;
- Coordinating “web shifts”: coaching and guiding student assistants in their work;
- Collaborating with stakeholders, incl. content experts, student assistants and functional administrators;
- Monitoring and managing the website inbox, plan and coordinate incoming requests;
- Identifying opportunities for improvement;

Job requirements
- A higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking.
- At least 3 years of demonstrable work experience in this field.
- Excellent command of English; a good understanding of Dutch is ideal.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A proactive, positive, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of SEO and digital accessibility, and familiarity with web analytics is considered a strong asset.
- An eye for visual content and affinity with content visualization is an advantage.
- Affinity or willingness to learn and work with CMS platforms.

Education & Student Affairs (ESA) provides educational support by taking care of education and student administration, coordinating education policy, functional management of educational applications and providing monitoring- and management reports, supporting and supervising Dutch and international students and PhD candidates, providing training in teaching and other areas, giving educational advice and support and organising sport & culture activities. ESA is made up of the departments Education Service Centre, Academic Services, Information Management and X. ESA employs around 250 staff. ESA is known within the TU Delft for the high-quality service it provides and has a pro-active and solution-oriented culture.
Conditions of employment
- Duration of contract is 1 year. Temporary
- A job of 30-32 hours per week.
- A salary based on Schaal 09 of the CAO for Dutch Universities with a salary between €3537 - €4860 gross per month based on a fulltime contract (38 hours), plus 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
